Due to the severe shortage of N95 medical face masks, The New York Sewing Center will be teaching how to make 3 kinds of CDC-compliant face masks that can be donated to our first responders and medical professionals. Supplies:
*Pre-washed fabrics (to avoid shrinkage after masks are made) *Tightly woven 100% cotton fabric Medium weight, or one piece of cotton and one piece of flannel - 2 pieces, 6x9 inches each (see image)

*1/4 wide elastic (see images) - 2 pieces, 7 inches each

Coffee filter, and 1/2 yard of 100% cotton, non-stretch fabric, pipe cleaners

*Sewing machine, pins, scissors

Experience: intermediate for sewing

Length of class: 1 hour. Each mask takes about 15 min to complete
