KIDS UPCYCLING CLASS! AGES 7-12

Join The New York Sewing Center and TwoThirtyTwo for a creative afternoon of imagination, sustainability, and hands-on fun. In this workshop, kids will learn the art of upcycling by transforming past TwoThirtyTwo samples into something entirely new. With guidance from The New York Sewing Center instructors, children will personalize their pieces using fabric markers, patches, gems, and simple sewing techniques — exploring how clothing can be reshaped and given a second life. Rooted in the idea of fewer, better pieces that are worn, loved, and passed along, this workshop invites kids to turn yesterday’s samples into their own one-of-a-kind creations.

What to expect: A hands-on introduction to upcycling, kid-friendly sewing and design guidance, TwoThirtyTwo samples ready to transform, and a unique piece for each child to take home.
