MACHINE EMBROIDERY SCHOOL

Ready to take your creativity to the next level with machine embroidery? In this immersive one-day intensive, you’ll learn how to set up and use the Janome Memory Craft 1000 embroidery Machine and bring your designs to life with professional quality designs.

In the morning, students will learn machine setup and embroider a design from a pre-loaded file. During the lunch break, you’ll download or create your own embroidery file, then return in the afternoon to learn how to upload your design and stitch it onto fabric. You’ll also explore advanced techniques like yarn couching to mimic crochet effects and creating dimensional, textured embroidery designs.

In this class, you will learn:

• how to set up and operate the Janome MemoryCraft 1000 embroidery machine

• how to embroider from pre-loaded designs

• how to download or create an embroidery file

• how to upload and stitch custom embroidery designs

• yarn couching techniques 

• how to create 3-dimensional embroidery effects

PROJECTS: Embroidered sample(s) using both pre-loaded and custom design files

COST:$450 for the class and machine will be provided for classes in our studio.

*Machine available to purchase for an additional $1300

SUPPLIES:All embroidery materials and tools are included.

Students should bring 3 items to embroider (such as a denim jacket, blazer, tote bag, or similar). If no item is provided, fabric will be available for practice.

PREREQUISITES: None! Beginners welcome.
