Hoodie Class - 1 Day Class

Fall is here! Let’s make hoodies together. This class is an intermediate level class where we focus on using a pattern and sewing with knit, stretchy materials!

During this course you will learn:

· all of the necessary sewing terminology & equipment for stretch fabrics
· how to read a commercial pattern for knit stretch garments
· different types of stitches & seam finishes you can complete using a sewing machine.

PROJECTS: A completed hoodie UNISEX from commercial pattern

COST: $300

FABRIC AND SUPPLIES: The pattern for the hoodie will be provided. Students will need 3 yards of french terry, sweatshirt fleece, double jersey, 2 way stretch materials. Fabric is available for purchase $15 per yard in person.

COURSE DURATION: 7 hours of sewing with either a 30 minute break or 1 hour lunch break depending on the time of day.

Weekly class is 2 hours/week for 3 weeks. Final class is 1 hour long.

PREREQUISITE: The Sewing Machine Basics Workshop, Bootcamp or Sewing 101 course
