DRAPING II: BODICES

Ready to continue your draping journey? Draping II: Bodices builds on the foundational skills learned in Draping 101 and focuses on developing bodice shapes directly on the dress form. This course is perfect for students looking to deepen their understanding of fit, structure, and garment design through hands-on draping.

In this class, you’ll learn how to create a bodice sloper by draping on the form, then explore how to manipulate fabric to develop a bodice . Through guided demonstrations and practice, you’ll gain the confidence to transform flat fabric into three-dimensional garment shapes.

In this class, you will learn:

• how to drape a bodice sloper on the dress form

• techniques for shaping and refining bodice fit

• how to transfer draped pieces into usable patterns
